Liverpool legend Graeme Souness reckons Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp should be worried by his sides lack of goal threat away from home in the Champions League.
The Reds fell to a 2-1 defeat away to French Champions PSG last night, with their only shot on target being a penalty scored by James Milner.
In fact, Liverpool have lost their last five away games in Europe and during their 1-0 defeat away to Napoli in early October, the Anfield outfit didn’t manage a single shot on target all game.
Souness reckons that it is hard to believe that a team with as fearsome a front three as Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have been so shot shy on the road and he has warned that it is something Klopp’s side will have to improve upon soon.
“It is a worry,” Souness told Virgin Media Sport.
“You play 90 minutes with all that firepower on the pitch and they manage one shot on target.
“You’d think that would be nigh on impossible for the players Liverpool have got. But they achieved it tonight.
“Five shots on target in three away games.
“You don’t win European Cups unless you’re scoring goals!
“And if you make a mistake you’ll be punished at the highest level.”
