Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has tipped Mason Greenwood, Tahith Chong and Angel Gomes to make ‘a proper impact’ for Manchester United this season.
The young trio have featured heavily in Manchester United‘s pre-season tour this summer, with Greenwood netting in friendlies against Leeds and Inter Milan, Gomes scoring a late winner against Premier League rivals Tottenham, while Chong put in some impressive displays too.
Speaking to United’s in-house TV station, MUTV, Solskjaer was asked if the trio were likely to be sent out on loan, but the Norwegian insisted that they will stay at Old Trafford, and suggested that they could feature frequently.

“No,” replied Solskjaer. “To be honest, I can see them staying here and making a proper impact.
“They have already, on pre-season, and they did so in February, March and April. They did well in training but we never gave them enough game time. Pre-season has shown they have grown over the last six months and they are getting used to men’s football.
“They will get opportunities.”
In his pre-match press conference ahead of this weekend’s Premier League opener against Chelsea, Solskjaer said that Greenwood would benefit from Romelu Lukaku’s recent £73m departure.
