Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has praised Manchester United’s improvement and admits he is impressed with the side’s ‘engine’.
Manchester United host Crystal Palace this weekend looking to build on their impressive start to the new season, with Solskjaer admitting he has been pleased with side’s fitness and recent progress.
United were held to a goalless draw under former boss Jose Mourinho in the corresponding fixture last season, though Solskjaer believes his team have improved since then.
“I didn’t watch the game last year, we had a game ourselves with Molde but I heard they had a few counter-attacks,” Solskjaer told his pre-match press conference.
“Wilf [Zaha] was close to scoring, team spirit great, we’ve got loads of energy and passion.
“You can see the way we went about the game at Wolves our pressing was excellent, we gave them five minutes in the second half that was it really apart from that…
“The engine looks so much better, and everyone is fit, when you’re fit you’re mentally strong as well.”
