Bernardo Silva has revealed that Man City are embracing the pressure of the title race ahead of Wednesday nights crunch meeting with Man United in the Manchester Derby.
Pep Guardiola’s side currently trail Liverpool by two points, although City have a game in hand, and of City’s four remaining fixtures their trip to Old Trafford on Wednesday is seen by many as their most difficult.
City are clear favourites to beat Manchester United after Solskjaer’s side fell to a humiliating 4-0 defeat away to Everton yesterday, although Portuguese attacker Silva is still expecting a tough encounter against the Red Devils.
“We are so happy with the win (over Spurs on Saturday) and now it’s on to another tough one against Manchester United which I think will be crucial for the title,’’ Silva told Man City’s official website.
“It’s a big game for us, a big game for them. They need points to be in the top four and we need them to fight for the title. So we expect a very difficult game against one of the best sides in England.
“They will be motivated to beat us and we look forward to it. We know we need the win, and the pressure is on – but that’s a good thing.
