Inter Milan bounced back from last weekend’s defeat in The Derby della Madonnina during Saturday’s Serie A action.
The Italian champions came out on top in a five-goal thriller, beating Udinese 3-2 away from home. David Frattesi opened the scoring inside the first minute before former Watford defender Christian Kabasele equalised.
Lautaro Martinez opened his account for the campaign as the Argentine scored either side of the interval to give the travelling team a two-goal lead, although Lorenzo Lucca’s late goal ensured a nervy finish.
“We suffered a bit, we know that Udinese are a good team and this is always a tough place for us to play. After the derby, we talked less and worked hard, I think you could see that attitude on the pitch,” Lautaro Martinez told DAZN.
“It is certainly important for a striker to score goals, but I see it the other way around. My first duty is to help the team, then if I score it’s a bonus.
“I must keep working and try to take Inter higher and higher. The important thing is that Inter wins. We must stay humble and positive, raise the bar every day, because Inter need to grow.”
Dusan Vlahovic scored a second-half brace to help Juventus beat Genoa 3-0 away, with Francisco Conceição chipping in late on. The Bianconeri moved top of the table with that result, ahead of Turin rival’s Torino’s clash with Lazio on Sunday.
Champions League qualifiers Bologna and Atalanta drew 1-1 in the late fixture, as Lazar Samardzic’s 90th-minute equaliser rescued a point for Atalanta against Bologna’s 10 men, after the hosts had Jhon Lucumi sent off early in the second half.
