Antoine Semenyo has been named as the Premier League’s Player of the Month for February.

The Manchester City winger has claimed the prize after scoring three times for the Citizens last month, while adding an assist.

It continues an excellent start to his career with the club for the Ghanaian, who joined from Bournemouth for an initial fee of £62.5m in the January transfer window.

Semenyo has now scored 15 goals in the Premier League this season across both clubs and wins the Player of the Month award for the first time in his career.

He’s the third Ghanaian to win the accolade, after Tony Yeboah (March 1995 & September 1995) and André Ayew (August 2015).

“This is a brilliant moment for me. To win the Premier League Player of the Month award so soon after joining City is something I’ll never forget,” Semenyo said on Manchester City’s official website.

“My focus now is on continuing to improve and helping City to achieve the best possible results. We have so much to play for and I am really excited about this final period of the season.”
