Steve Clarke’s side can book their place in the Round of 32 with a positive results, but face a tough task against the record five-time world champions.
After starting their 2026 World Cup campaign with a narrow win against Haiti, Scotland suffered defeat to Morocco by the same scoreline to leave their hopes of progress in jeopardy.
It’s a first competitive meeting between Scotland and Brazil since the 1998 World Cup, while the Tartan Army have never beaten the South Americans in 10 previous attempts.

Steve Clarke is hopeful that Lewis Ferguson will be fit to feature despite missing training this week. The Bologna captain is expected to be available, while Aaron Hickey and Scott McKenna are also in contention despite training absences this week.
The big question will be how adventurous Clarke sets up his side. Scotland failed to manage a single shot on target against Morocco, though a point could be enough for progress to the knockouts.
Ben Gannon Doak will hope to feature once more after impressing for Scotland in North America, though could miss out if a more defensive set-up is preferred.
