Maurizio Sarri says Chelsea’s trip to Manchester United this weekend is a ‘must not lose’ fixture.
Fourth-placed Chelsea travel to Old Trafford to face sixth-placed United on Sunday, in a clash which could have a huge say on who secures Champions League football for next season.
Sarri’s side currently lead their opponents by just three points with three games remaining, and the Italian insists his side ‘must not lose’ this weekend.
“The match is clear,” Sarri told his pre-match press conference.
“At this moment it’s a very important match, probably more than important for our target. We will try to win of course, but we need not to lose. It’s a very difficult match for both.
“We have to play against opponents with a very high level of motivation after the Manchester derby. They have a chance of the top four. Of course they need to win all the last three matches. But we need to gain points too. We need to fight and try in every way.”
