Maurizio Sarri is planning talks with the Chelsea board and believes he deserves to stay at Stamford Bridge.
Sarri’s future at Chelsea remains uncertain, despite winning the Europa League and securing Champions League qualification for next season, with Italian champions Juventus believed to be interested in bringing the 60-year-old back to Serie A as a replacement for the outgoing Max Allegri.
Despite interest from the Turin side, the former Napoli boss revealed his happiness at working in the Premier League and says he will sit down with the club’s hierarchy to discuss his future.
“I need to talk to the club and make sure I know what I can do for Chelsea and what Chelsea can do for me,” Sarri told the press after Wednesday nights win over Arsenal in Baku.
“I love the Premier League and I’m lucky I’m at Chelsea but at the end of each season you have to sit down and talk.
“In my opinion, I deserve to stay at Chelsea but my opinion is not enough.”
