Chelsea set to offload three senior players in January

Gary Cahill, Victor Moses and Danny Drinkwater will all be allowed to leave Chelsea in the upcoming January transfer window.

The trio have struggled for opportunities since Maurizio Sarri’s arrival as manager in the summer, and the Daily Star are reporting the Italian is ready to sanction the sales in the New Year.

Cahill, Chelsea’s current club captain, has entered the final year of his contract and having found playing time limited under Sarri will seek a January move. The 32-year-old has been with Chelsea since arriving from Bolton in 2012 and has won every major honour available to him during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Wing-back Moses was a regular under Sarri’s predecessor Antonio Conte, but with the ex-Napoli boss preferring a more conventional back four has been overlooked this season.

Former Leicester midfielder Drinkwater has failed to establish himself since his £35m move in 2017. The 28-year-old, capped three times by England, has been linked with moves to West Ham and Fulham.
