Sanchez willing to take pay cut to secure Arsenal exit

Alexis Sanchez is willing to take a pay cut to secure a move to Manchester City according to reports today.

The Independent claim that Sanchez is willing to accept a pay offer of £250,000-a-week to in order to complete a move to the Etihad, despite being offered £300,000 to stay at Arsenal.

Sanchez is desperate to quit the Gunners this season after missing out in Champions League qualification for the first time in Arsene Wengers career as manager of the club.

He is apparently conscious of the fact that he is 29 this year and has not won much silverware during his career, and feels that a move to Manchester City would give him a better opportunity to adding to his collection of winners medals.

The move to Manchester City would also represent an opportunity to link up with Pep Guardiola once again, after working with the Spaniard during their respective times at Barcelona.

Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in Sanchez, whileBayern Munich were the front runners at one point to sign the striker. However, the Bundesliga champions pulled out of the race due to the Chileans wage demands, and his desire to move to Manchester City.

However, regardless of Sanchez’s willingness to take a pay cut, Arsene Wenger has publicly stated that the player is not for sale at any price, despite the player being able to leave for free next summer.

Will Sanchez be an Arsenal player on September 1st? Will he move to City? Should the Gunners let him go rather than keep an unhappy player? What are your thoughts on this saga?
