On just six occasions previously has a player reached 18 assists in a single campaign, while only Mesut Ozil, Kevin De Bruyne and Thierry Henry have managed more than that.

Salah is also the leading scorer in the Premier League this season and now has 42 goals and assists in 2024/25. The record for goal involvements in a 38-game Premier League season (44) will surely be beaten.

Ange Postecoglou might not take much notice of assist stats, but we’re pretty confident Arne Slot will be happy with Salah’s ever-swelling tally.
