Tottenham’s Danny Rose admits his side are looking for revenge when they take on Arsenal in a Carabao Cup quarter-final later this month.
Arsenal came out on top in last weekend’s fiery North London derby, coming from behind to win 4-2 at The Emirates, and Rose admits seeing their rivals celebrate a victory hurt.
“Me seeing that the Arsenal players do that after the game was obviously frustrating and I’m already looking forward to the reverse fixture when we get them back here or at the new stadium,” Rose said following Spurs‘ 3-1 win over Southampton.
“It’s the quarter-final so we don’t need much more motivation than that. It’ll be the first chance to win a trophy if we get through that.”
Rose returned from injury in Wednesday night’s 3-1 win over Southampton at Wembley, his first start in two months, and will be looking to maintain his place in the side for Saturday night’a trip to Leicester City.
