Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has hailed the performance’s of Scott Sinclair and Odsonne Edouard after watching his side beat Aberdeen 4-3 at Pittodrie.
Sinclair scored a hat-trick and Edouard was also on the score sheet in an entertaining clash, and Rodgers was full of praise for his forward players following the win.
“Those two guys produced very well for us,” Rodgers told reporters after the game when quizzed about Sinclair and Edouard.
“The big players normally come in the big games. Scott Sinclair’s working very hard, there’s consistency in his game. He’s a goalscorer. It was three very good finishes.
“Odsonne Edouard is a big talent. His finish was fantastic, just that poise and technique to lift it over the keeper and defender. His speed and power to set up Scott for his hat-trick was special.”
Celtic next travel to Ibrox to play city rivals Rangers this weekend knowing a win will take them six points clear of Steven Gerrard’s side at the top, having played a game fewer.
