Rumours of Nabil Fekir’s imminent move to Liverpool are somewhat premature according to the players father.
Earlier this week, we reported on speculation from France that the Lyon forward had agreed a €70 million move to Liverpool, although that was later denied by Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas.
Now, the players father, Mohamed Fekir has also denied that a deal has been agreed:
“Nabil in Liverpool, that’s wrong,” he said.
“I hear there are arrangements, stuff like that… I was surprised.
“I can deny this information right now. It’s not true. Otherwise Nabil would have told me right away, we are very close.”
Fekir has also been linked with a move to Arsenal, which would potentially see him reunited with former Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.
