Report: Hazard’s father tells Real Madrid his son is leaving Chelsea

Eden Hazard’s Chelsea future has been thrown into further doubt today, with reports emerging that the talented attacker’s father Thierry offered his sons services to Real Madrid on the eve of the Champions League final against Liverpool last month.

According to a report in the Daily Mail today Hazard senior informed Bernabeu chiefs that his son is looking to move on from Stamford Bridge this summer after the Blues failed to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Hazard has been stalling on signing a new deal for the best part of a year now, despite Chelsea offering him a reported £300,000 per week.

The 27-year-old has established himself as one of Europes top attackers since moving to Stamford Bridge from French side Lille in 2012. During his time in England Hazard has won every domestic trophy on offer and this is also thought to be one of the reasons he believes now is the right time for his to move on to pastures new.

It does however remain to be seen if Real will firm up their interest in Hazard after the resignation of Zinedine Zidane as their head coach, with the former France international known to be a big admirer of the Belgium international.

Premier League Champions Man City have also been credited with an interest in the 2014/15 Player of the Year, although it is not clear if Chelsea would be prepared to sell to a direct rival.
