Eden Hazard will not be allowed to leave Chelsea this summer unless Real Madrid match the club’s £100m asking price.
Hazard is entering the final year of his contract at Chelsea, with the club resigned to losing the 28-year-old this summer.
Spanish giants Real have made Hazard their number one transfer target, but the club’s offers have reportedly been well below the Blues’ asking price.
Real boss Zinedine Zidane sees Hazard as his side’s marquee signing this summer, with the winger a direct replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo who departed for Juventus a year ago.
Despite the prospect of losing Hazard for nothing next year, the Independent are reporting that Chelsea will not allow the winger to leave for less than their £100m asking price.
Hazard has reportedly considered handing in a transfer request at Stamford Bridge as talks continue to stall between the clubs.
Having spent seven seasons in West London, the former Lille player is desperate for a move to the Bernabeu as he seeks a new challenge in his career.
Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia is, however, refusing to back down from Hazard’s £100m valuation, with Chelsea currently banned from signing new players for two transfer windows.
