European Champions Real Madrid have started proceedings for the transfer of Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
The La Liga club are believed to have offered Newcastle a cash figure plus TWO players on loan in order to strike a deal with the Championship club.
Although the identity of the players offered is unconfirmed, it is though the players are Marcos Llorente, 21, and Mariano Diaz, 23. They are hoping that their former manager Rafa Benitez will accept the offer of cashing in on one of his prized assets, who has a £35million price tag on his head.
Sissoko was one of the surprise performers of this summers European Championships, where his energetic and dynamic performances helped France to the final, where they were eventually beaten by Portugal.
Newcastle have already made a move for a replacement for Sissoko, with Hull City midfielder Mo Diame already having a medical at St James’ Park.
