Rangers vs Kilmarnock – Predicted lineup and team news

Rangers vs Kilmarnock - Predicted lineup and team news

Rangers will welcome bottom-of-the-table Kilmarnock to Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow on Saturday for their next Scottish Premiership fixture.

Rangers head into the match in excellent domestic form, having won each of their last five league games. Derek McInnes’ side has been especially strong at the back, giving up only one goal across that run. September was a memorable month for the club, with two consecutive victories over rivals Celtic. Rangers first earned a 3-0 win in the Scottish League Cup quarter-finals, then followed it up with a notable 1-0 Premiership victory at Parkhead.

Rangers team news

McInnes has a mixed selection picture for the game, but Dujon Sterling’s return is a welcome boost. The right-back is back in full training after recovering from a minor hamstring concern, helping Rangers keep a settled defence.

However, the club will be without several players during a busy run of fixtures. Midfielder Cammy Devlin is expected to miss at least six weeks with a hamstring injury.

Lawrence Shankland is also sidelined with a hamstring problem and is not expected back until December, while forward Youssef Chermiti is a long-term absentee as he recovers from an ACL injury.

Tuur Rommens will miss the match because of an ankle problem. Jose Cifuentes and Daisuke Yokota are also unavailable while they continue their fitness work and injury recovery.

Rangers predicted lineup

Possible starting XI: Pandur; Sterling, Fernandez, Makhanya, Penrice; Kim, Neil, Raskin, Gassama; Naderi, Kelsy

When will the match kick off?

The match will kick off at 3pm BST on Saturday, 10th October.
