Controversial agent Mino Raiola has given yet another clear indication that Paul Pogba wants to leave Manchester United.
Speaking on a promotional tour for Adidas last month, Pogba said that he was thinking about ‘a new challenge somewhere else‘, with the midfielder attracting attention from Real Madrid, Juventus and PSG.
Manchester United are keen to keep hold of their star asset, and have slapped a £150 million price tag on the head of the World Cup winner, in a bid to put him out of the reach of his potential suitors.
While talk about his future has gone somewhat quiet in recent weeks, Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has doused the flames with petrol by saying his client has a ‘willingness’ to move on.
“Everyone within the club from the manager to the owner knows Paul’s wishes,” Raiola told The Times.
“Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are.”
Pogba was thought to be due back to training this weekend, but as it stands, is still in New York, and with United due to jet off to Australia on Sunday for their pre-season tour.
United have a big rebuilding job on their hands, with the club already thought to be hoping to sign two midfielders and centre-back before the end of the transfer window.
If Pogba were to depart, they are likely to want to add at least one more midfielder to their ranks, with the likes of Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez, Sporting’s Bruno Fernandes, Newcastle’s Sean Longstaff and Leicester’s City’s James Maddison having been linked.
