Paul Pogba’s agent Mini Raiola has demanded Manchester United back his client after the French midfielder’s latest fall-out with manager Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho is believed to have criticised the club’s record-signing in front of his team-mates following Saturday’s draw at Southampton in the latest bust-up in the pairs difficult relationship.
The Independent are reporting that Raiola now wants the club to back their most expensive asset, with Mourinho having criticised the player’s performance, attitude and commitment to the club.
Pogba has previously been vocal in his unhappiness of the team’s playing style, with rumours linking the French World Cup winner with a move away last summer, having grown frustrated with Mourinho’s tactics. After criticising the Portuguese, Pogba was publicly stripped of the vice-captaincy and banned from speaking to the press.
The ongoing problems between the pair have left the United hierarchy in a difficult position, with the negativity surrounding the club heightened by the side’s poor start to the season.
The draw at St Mary’s leaves the club in 7th position in the Premier League, eight points off the Champions League places.
