PSG talent Mbaye offered to Liverpool and Man City

Paris Saint-Germain youngster Ibrahim Mbaye has reportedly been offered to Liverpool and Manchester City after his representatives ruled out a move to Aston Villa this summer.

Paris Saint-Germain youngster Ibrahim Mbaye has reportedly been offered to Liverpool and Manchester City after his representatives ruled out a move to Aston Villa this summer.

According to TEAMtalk, the 18-year-old forward’s agents have begun sounding out several of Europe’s biggest clubs as they seek the right environment for the Senegal international’s long-term development. Liverpool and Manchester City are among the clubs to have been informed of his availability in recent days.

Aston Villa had previously held discussions over a potential deal, with the Midlands club understood to be serious contenders for Mbaye’s signature. However, the report claims the teenager’s camp decided against a move to Villa Park, believing his next club should be one capable of consistently competing for the biggest domestic and European honours.

That stance has prompted Mbaye’s representatives to explore opportunities with clubs they believe better match the player’s ambitions. Liverpool and Manchester City are now among the sides aware of the situation, although there is no suggestion that either club has opened formal talks or submitted an offer.

Mbaye is regarded as one of PSG’s brightest young prospects and has attracted interest from across Europe during the current transfer window. His future has become the subject of growing speculation amid reports that those close to the player believe regular first-team football away from Paris could accelerate his development.

Any move remains at an early stage. TEAMtalk reports that the player’s camp have made initial contact with potential suitors, but negotiations have yet to progress beyond exploratory discussions.

Liverpool and Manchester City are both active in the market for young talent, making them logical destinations should Mbaye become available. Whether either club chooses to pursue the opportunity is expected to become clearer as the transfer window develops.
