PSG have ‘no interest’ in Guendouzi as Arsenal look to raise funds to sign Partey

Champions League finalists Paris-Saint Germain reportedly have ‘no interest’ in Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi as the Gunners continue their struggles to raise funds for top target Thomas Partey.

The North London club have already secured the services of Willian and his Brazilian compatriot Gabriel Magalhaes so far in the summer window, and have been heavily touted to make a move for Atletico Madrid star Partey.

The Ghanian midfielder is seen as the man to to provide some much-needed steel to the Gunners lacklustre midfield, yet the club have so far been unsuccessful in their pursuit of the player, with Los Rojiblancos not willing to part with the player for less than his £44m release clause.

With the club in desperate need of extra funds in order to make further additions, it appears as if there will have to be a number of outgoings – with the likes of Sokratis, Sead Kolasinac and the seemingly out of favour Guendouzi all being touted for a departure from the Emirates.

The latter has been strongly linked with a loan move to Valencia, though Arsenal’s need to raise funds has left them preferring a permanent departure.

However, despite reports that he may be returning to his native France, the Telegraph have reported that Ligue 1 champions PSG have no intention of making a move for the Frenchman. The former Lorient youngster has been rumoured for an exit after having lost his place under Mikel Arteta, with the player’s attitude seemingly becoming an issue at the club.

As for PSG, while the may hold ‘no interest’ in Guendouzi, the club are still in talks to bring Hector Bellerin to the Parc des Princes, having seen right-back Thomas Meunier depart the club for Borussia Dortmund earlier this summer.

Any sale of the 25-year-old would no doubt see the versatile Ainsley Maitland-Niles to take up a starting berth at full-back, despite having been linked with a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers in recent weeks.
