PSG, Bayern and Roma all linked with Ronaldo following recent Man Utd struggles

Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Roma are all being linked with a move for Cristiano Ronaldo following the forward’s recent struggles at Manchester United.

Ronaldo has had a mixed season since rejoining the Red Devils last summer, with the club having struggled for consistent results and facing a fight to secure a top-four finish and Champions League football.

The 37-year-old has scored 15 goals in all competitions for United this season, having ended his longest run without a goal in more than a decade after scoring in the 2-0 win over Brighton on Tuesday evening.

The Sun are reporting that Ronaldo’s long-term future remains uncertain despite an initial wish to retire with the Red Devils and the Portugal captain could leave should the club miss out on Champions League football.

Ronaldo reportedly has reservations regarding the side’s ability to compete for trophies in the near future and PSG, Bayern and Roma are understood to be monitoring his situation.

PSG face the prospect of losing Kylian Mbappe this summer and the signing of Ronaldo would see the five-time Ballon d’Or winner unite with Lionel Messi at the Parc des Princes, in what would represent a fascinating – if ageing – star-studded forward line.

Reported interest from Bayern appears unlikely given the wage structure and transfer policy of the Bundesliga champions, whilst Roma, now under the management of former Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho, are also said to be interested.
