Premier League Transfer Rumour Mill: Newcastle set Trippier price

The January transfer window has been somewhat of a slow-burner to date, but the rumour mill continues to chug along nicely.

Here are the biggest transfer rumours involving Premier League clubs from January 22nd.

Bayern Munich are the latest team keen to capitalise on Newcastle’s financial concerns, as the German champions look to reach an agreement for Kieran Trippier.

Thomas Tuchel’s desire to get the Spurs band back together will continue with a pursuit of Trippier, after completing deals for Harry Kane and Eric Dier in recent windows. What’s Danny Rose up to these days?

Newcastle have rebuffed a loan approach from the German giants and are demanding a permanent deal or obligation to buy in the range of €13-14m, according to Sky Germany.

The Mirror are reporting that Brentford’s WWE-style entrance for the returning Ivan Toney has persuaded the forward to remain in West London. The 27-year-old will not push for a move this month, though the summer might be a different story…

Meanwhile, Calciomercato claim that out-of-favour Everton defender Ben Godfrey has a unique choice this month. The centre-back has options to return to his native Yorkshire at Sheffield United or Leeds, or an offer on the table from seven-time European champions AC Milan.

The ball’s in your court, Ben.

North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly tracking Real Sociedad flyer Tafekusa Kubo, while Atletico Madrid will rival Premier League clubs to sign Belgium-based starlets Bilal El Khannouss and Arthur Vermeeren.

Elsewhere, the Mail say West Ham will push for Kalvin Phillips after being frustrated in pursuit of Arsenal outcast Emile Smith Rowe, while the Hammers have seen an approach to sign Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran turned down, say The Guardian.

Chelsea’s Armando Broja is also under consideration by David Moyes and his recruitment team, as the Irons look to end a patchy recent record when it comes to striker signings.
