Mauricio Pochettino insists he does not care about the outcome of Manchester City v Liverpool as Tottenham’s title rivals prepare to face one another on Thursday night.

Spurs moved back into second in the Premier League with a comprehensive 3-0 win at Cardiff on Tuesday, bouncing back from their shock loss to Wolves at the weekend.

Goals from Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-Min inside the opening 26 minutes sealed a comfortable win for Pochettino’s side, who closed the gap on leaders Liverpool to six points.

A win for Pep Guardiola’s side at The Etihad will tighten the top of the table, however, Pochettino insists he will watch the game as a neutral.

Speaking to Sky Sports he said: “I don’t care – of course I will watch, it will be an unbelievable game and I enjoy football. The day after we play FA Cup very close to Liverpool and we need to be ready again because we have busy fixtures.”

Next up for Spurs in an away trip to Tranmere in the FA Cup.
