Gary Neville thinks that Aaron Wan Bissaka is the kind of player that Manchester United should sign, describing him as a ‘massive talent’.
The England U21 international has been linked with a move to Old Trafford following his mightily impressive season for Crystal Palace, making 39 appearances in all competitions for the Eagles.
With Antonio Valencia having left Manchester United at the end of the season, the Red Devils are on the lookout for a new first-choice right back, and one man who knows what it takes to be a United full back is Gary Neville, and he thinks that the 21-year-old would be a good candidate.
Speaking after his participation in United’s 5-0 win over Bayern Munich legends to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the 1999 treble win, Neville did warn that a move for Wan-Bissaka could set his former side back £60m.
“He’s a massive talent and the club, to be fair, have always signed young, emerging British talent,” Neville said, as per the Evening Standard.
“I don’t think that should change, and it would seem to me that the club would like to go back down that route and he [Wan-Bissaka] is one.
“The price is always going to be big because clubs are wise now to it, you can’t pinch players off clubs for £5m or £6m.
“They are wise to it and have the Premier League funding of £100-odd million so they don’t need to panic, they don’t need extra £5m or £10m, they want £50m or £60m.”
