France star Kylian Mbappe once again showed what all the fuss was about as he starred in his sides 1-0 World Cup semi-final victory over Belgium.
The lightning quick 19-year-old once again demonstrated the type of pace and skill which has seen most pundits pick him as the most talented young player in World Football.
At one stage in the second-half in Saint Petersburg the PSG youngster blitzed through the Belgian defence before playing France striker Olivier Giroud through on goal with a sublime drag and roll flick.
This particular cameo caused former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy to gush over the youngster declaring that it this kind of brilliance that shows he is headed for the very pinnacle of the game:
“Well we’ve just seen in 90 seconds why this boy is going to be the best player in the world,” Murphy said while commentating on the game for the BBC.
“Devastating pace, great awareness, great skill. Calmness.
“It’s all so effortless to him. He seems to have a maturity that you shouldn’t have at that age.
“Calmness, quick feet. Look at this.”
France will now face either Croatia or England in the World Cup final on Sunday in Moscow, with Mbappe now a serious contender for the Golden Ball award.
