Jose Mourinho has revealed he intends to return to management this summer.

The Portuguese has been out of work since being sacked as Manchester United manager in December, and says he has turned down several opportunities to return to management in the past few months.

Mourinho was strongly linked with a return to Real Madrid following Santiago Solari’s dismissal, but missed out on the job to the returning Zinedine Zidane.

“I want to return this summer,” he told BEIN Sports.

“I know exactly what I don’t want, which is why I have already turned down three or four offers. I also know what I want.”

The 56-year-old has also been linked with a return to another former side in Inter Milan. The Nerazzurri were expected to be Juventus’ closest challengers this season, but currently languish 22 points behind the runaway Serie A leaders.

Mourinho previously managed the club between 2008-2010. leading the side to Italian football’s first treble of Serie A, Champions League and Copa Italia in his final season in charge.
