Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho does not expect Alexis Sanchez to leave Old Trafford during the January transfer window.
Sanchez joined Manchester United in a high profile swap deal from Arsenal last January which saw Armenian attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan move in the opposite direction.
However, Chile international Sanchez has looked a shadow of the player that lit up the Premier League during his time at the Emirates, scoring just four times for the Red Devils.
Rumours have started to circulate recently suggesting that the 29-year-old has become an isolated figure within the Old Trafford dressing room and may seek a January exit, although Mourinho has insisted that Sanchez has never said that he wants to leave.
“I don’t think so because he has never told me that he wants to leave. He never told me that he’s not happy to stay.’’ Mourinho told the press ahead of his sides Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace today.
“He is playing like the team. He is improving, like the team is improving, when he plays he is giving us his personality.”
