Messi wants Salah or Hazard to replace Dembele at Barcelona

Lionel Messi wants Barcelona to target either Eden Hazard or Mohammed Salah in next summer’s transfer window.

The Argentinian superstar has told club officials to target either one of the Premier League duo as a replacement for French winger Ousmane Dembele.

Hazard, 27, has been linked with a move away from Chelsea in recent times but has often been vocal in his desire to play for Barcelona’s great rivals, Real Madrid. Salah enjoyed a stunning debut season at Liverpool, scoring 44 goals in all competitions to claim the PFA Player of The Year award and Messi is believed to be keen to line-up alongside one of the duo next season.

Spanish publication Don Balon are reporting that Messi has asked officials to sign four players, which alongside Hazard or Salah also includes Monaco’s Djibril Sidibe, Genoa striker Krzysztof Piatek and young Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt.

Signing either Hazard or Salah from the Premier League is likely to take an astronomical fee, with Messi keen for Barcelona to sign a player of the highest calibre to replace Dembele, who has been linked with a move away.
