Nemanja Matic insists Manchester United have to show fight after Jose Mourinho’s side drew 2-2 with Arsenal in a highly entertaining clash at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
The result was the club’s fourth without a win and leaves United eighth in the Premier League, 18 points behind leaders Manchester City and eight behind Chelsea in the final Champions League place.
After twice coming from behind in a breathless encounter at Old Trafford, Serbian midfielder Matic says the club must continue to fight following a difficult start to the season.
‘Both teams attacked. It was a great game for the supporters but I thought we deserved a point.’ Matic told BT Sport.
‘Everyone knows the confidence is not high, but this is the fight that we have to show. Everyone is ready to play wherever the manager asks.’
United next host struggling Fulham on Saturday, whilst Arsenal entertain Huddersfield at The Emirates.
