Manchester United host Tottenham at Old Trafford on Saturday evening looking for a second league win of the season.
Michael Carrick’s side are 12th on five points, with Spurs bottom on two. United have won one of their last nine meetings with Tottenham, a 2-0 win at Old Trafford in February.
Manchester United team news
Patrick Dorgu (hamstring), who was injured on international duty with Denmark, faces “a number of weeks” out, Carrick said. Benjamin Sesko (shin) is further away and will not be ready, while Manuel Ugarte (knee) and Matthijs de Ligt (back) remain out. Noussair Mazraoui took a knock on international duty with Morocco and is a doubt.
Rashford, Diallo and Mainoo have all trained this week, with Diallo in contention for a first appearance of the season after an ankle injury. Summer signing Carlos Baleba could make his debut, from the start or the bench, and may compete with Mainoo, Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos in midfield.
Mainoo and Tielemans are predicted behind captain Bruno Fernandes, with Bryan Mbeumo and Rashford either side of him and Cunha leading the attack. Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw are the predicted full-backs, with Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez in front of Senne Lammens.
Manchester United predicted lineup
Manchester United possible starting XI: Lammens; Dalot, Maguire, Martinez, Shaw; Mainoo, Tielemans; Mbeumo, Fernandes, Rashford; Cunha
