Borussia Dortmund are reportedly ‘holding out for £90m’ for Jadon Sancho amid continued speculation linking the star with Manchester United.
Sancho’s future looks set to be one of the talking points of the summer transfer window with the winger expected to return to English football and the Premier League, Manchester United leading the chase for a player who scored 17 times and provided a further 16 assists in the Bundesliga this season.
Dortmund, however, are under no pressure to sell and will demand a British transfer-record fee for the England international despite the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the transfer market, with the Telegraph’s James Ducker reporting that Dortmund would be willing to do business if they were to receive £90m, after initially setting their asking price at £115m.
Reports earlier this week also suggested that the German side have set a deadline of August 10 for any deal to be concluded, with Lucien Favre’s side keen to conclude any summer transfer business before they fly out for a pre-season training camp in Switzerland.
Sancho is believed to be keen on a potential move to Old Trafford, though talks are yet to begin between the two clubs over a potential club-record deal for United.

Dortmund certainly seem to be open to the possibility of Sancho leaving this summer should they receive a suitable offer, the club’s sporting director, Michael Zorc, confirming potential targets have been lined up ahead of the winger’s exit.
“If Jadon leaves, we would like to sign a new offensive player,” Zorc told Kicker. “There are certainly one or two players that we are keeping an eye on.”
