Manchester United are interested in AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders as the club look to sign a new midfielder in the summer.
Reijnders has caught the eye of Erik ten Hag during an impressive debut campaign for the Rossoneri, having signed from AZ Alkmaar for a fee of €19m last summer.
The 25-year-old ranks third in Serie A for goal-creating actions this season and is also among the league’s leading players for through balls (10th) and successful take-on percentage (7th).
Football Transfers are reporting that Reijnders’ ability to perform in multiple midfield roles appeals to Manchester United, amid doubts over the long-term futures of several current options.
Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay each continued to be linked with exits from Old Trafford, while the Red Devils are unlikely to turn Sofyan Amrabat’s loan from Fiorentina into a permanent deal.
The Morocco international has had an underwhelming spell at Old Trafford which, coupled with the emergence of Kobbie Mainoo, has reduced the chances of his transfer becoming permanent.
Paris Saint-Germain are also named as admirers of Reijnders, who has earned six caps for the Netherlands national team since his debut in 2023. Milan will demand a fee of around €60m (£51.3m) for the midfielder, who is contracted at the San Siro until 2028.
