The youngest players to score in six straight Premier League games

Rasmus Hojlund set a new record at the week, becoming the youngest player to score in six consecutive games in the Premier League.

The Danish striker scored twice for Manchester United as they beat Luton Town at Kenilworth Road on Sunday.

The 21-year-old, who joined the Red Devils from Atalanta in a deal worth up to £72 million last summer, is in the best goalscoring form of his campaign so far, having found the net seven times in his last six league appearances (and assisted another two for good measure).

It’s rare for a player so young to be so consistent in front of goal, and those of a similar who have done it in the past are some of the best to have played in the Premier League.

The youngest Premier League players to score in six straight games:

5. Thierry Henry – 22 years and 263 days

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry made a splash when he first arrived in the Premier League in the 1999/2000 season, scoring 17 goals in 31 games. Eight of those came in a six-game stretch between March and May of that term, although the Gunners finished a distant second to Manchester United.

4. Romelu Lukaku – 22 years and 213 days

In December 2016, Romelu Lukaku did something that no Everton player had previously done; score in six consecutive Premier League matches. The former Chelsea player, who had already established himself as a top flight striker at that stage by hitting double digits in each of his previous three seasons, went on to score in eight straight games – the first Toffees player to do that since 1954.

3. Erling Haaland – 22 years and 73 days

Erling Haaland came to the Premier League with a bang, netting in nine of his first 12 games in England. That included a run of seven successive games where he scored at least one goal for Man City between August and October; he scored 13 times during that incredible run, including three hat-tricks.

2. Joe Willock – 21 years and 272 days

A mid-season loan move to Newcastle in 2021 rejuvenated the career of Joe Willock beyond expectation as he scored eight goals for the Magpies. Seven of those came in successive right at the end of the campaign to help the team finish 12th in the table. Remarkably, only three players have longer goal scoring runs in the history of the Premier League.

1. Rasmus Hojlund – 21 years and 14 days

After failing to find the net in his first 14 Premier League matches, Rasmus Hojlund seemingly can’t stop scoring, netting in each of the following six games. The youngster broke his duck with a dramatic winner in the comeback over Aston Villa before helping Man United to wins over Wolves, West Ham, Luton and Villa again, as well as a draw with Spurs.
