Paul Pogba has described Kylian Mbappe as a ‘very mature’ player who ‘wants to win titles,’ as France look to become World Champions for only the second time in their history.
The French have produced an abundance of phenomenal players over the years, with the likes of Michel Platini, Patrick Vieira, Zinedine Zidane and Thierry Henry all pulling on that famous blue jersey. The latest superstar to play for Les Bleus is PSG ace Kylian Mbappe, who burst onto the scene at Monaco two years ago aged just 17.
He has continued his phenomenal development and has become one of the star players at this summers World Cup, scoring three goals and generally causing havoc with his blistering pace.
As the French prepare to face Croatia in Moscow on Sunday in the World Cup final, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has been speaking about the 19-year-old sensation:
“He says he wants to win titles. He’s not being pretentious; he wants to do it. He’ll do everything to do it, he has the talent to do it,” Pogba told a pre match press conference.
“He’s going to learn, he’s going to grow, he’s young, he’ll get more experience, he’s already ahead for his age but he’ll keep working, I talk to him, I give him advice, but that’s his talent.
“He’s mature enough, he’s very mature for his age to understand, he understands things I didn’t when I was his age. So it’s only good things for him.”
