Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot has emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United.
The French international is preparing to leave the Parisian club on a free transfer this summer, having not played for Thomas Tuchel’s side since December following his refusal to sign a new deal at the club.
The 24-year-old’s availability has alerted some of Europe’s leading clubs, with Manchester United now having expressed an interest in bringing the midfielder to Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to add to his midfield options this summer, and according to the Manchester Evening News will launch a move to sign Rabiot.
Ander Herrera’s decision to leave the club at the expiry of his contract has sought Solskjaer to seek midfield additions, whilst there are also doubts surrounding the long-term future of Paul Pogba.
Rabiot would bring quality and experience to a United midfield which has lacked balance in recent seasons, however, the club’s failure to secure Champions League qualification could hinder their hopes of securing a deal.
