Pep Guardiola is dealing with several selection headaches. The latest casualty is winger Omar Marmoush, who has been ruled out after suffering a knee injury while on duty with Egypt.

He joins Rayan Ait-Nouri, Ryan Cherki, and Mateo Kovacic on the sidelines, while key defender John Stones is also a doubt for the derby.

There is some positive news for the City boss, however. The international break has allowed Phil Foden and Abdukodir Khusanov to recover from minor knocks. In addition, Joško Gvardiol is now fit and could make his first appearance of the season in defence.

The biggest selection dilemma, however, comes in goal, where new signing Gianluigi Donnarumma is pushing hard to dislodge James Trafford.
