Manchester City have agreed a €100m deal to sign Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille.

The Cityzens have reached an agreement with Lille to sign the Moroccan midfielder for a €100m (£85.6m) fee including add-ons.

Bouaddi has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League side and will travel to Manchester to undergo a medical and finalise the move. Fabrice Hawkins has confirmed that a full club-to-club agreement is in place for the transfer.

The teenager has been a top target for Manchester City throughout the summer, having impressed for Morocco at the 2026 World Cup.

It followed an excellent Ligue 1 season at Lille, where Bouaddi led all u-20 midfielders in Europe’s top five leagues for defensive duels won, and fourth for forward passes completed. City’s need for a midfielder has accelerated following the sale of Rodri to Barcelona earlier this month.

Enzo Maresca’s lack of engine room options saw Marc Guehi start in an unfamiliar central midfield role, alongside record signing Elliot Anderson, against Bournemouth in the club’s Premier League opener.
