Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo as Roberto De Zerbi looks to bolster his attacking options before the transfer window closes.
According to Sky Sports News, the Spurs head coach wants to add at least one wide attacker this summer after prioritising reinforcements in midfield and defence.
Gakpo has emerged as one of the players under consideration, although any deal is expected to be difficult. The Netherlands international has four years remaining on his Liverpool contract, and the Reds are not prepared to sanction his departure unless they first secure a suitable replacement.
Liverpool are understood to be working on a move for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, who has been identified as a priority target. However, negotiations are unlikely to be straightforward, with PSG reportedly valuing the France international at around £145 million.

Gakpo remains an important member of Andoni Iraola’s squad thanks to his versatility. In addition to operating on either flank, the Dutchman can also play through the middle, a quality that has become increasingly valuable while striker Hugo Ekitike continues his recovery from an Achilles injury.
Allowing Gakpo to leave before bringing in another forward would leave Liverpool short of experienced wide options, with teenager Rio Ngumoha and summer signing Victor Munoz among the alternatives currently available.
Tottenham have been active in the transfer market throughout the summer and continue to assess multiple attacking targets. Alongside Gakpo, Manchester City winger Savinho is also understood to be on the club’s shortlist as De Zerbi looks to reshape Spurs’ frontline ahead of the new season.
For now, Tottenham’s interest remains at an exploratory stage, with Liverpool unlikely to entertain offers unless they first strengthen their own attacking ranks.
