Liverpool have joined the race to sign Ajax star David Neres.
The Brazilian winger has attracted the interest of several clubs around Europe, having shone in the Dutch side’s run to the Champions League semi-finals.
Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are all believed to have been monitoring the 22-year-old, with Liverpool now set to join their Premier League rivals in there race for the £35m-rated player.
According to The Sun Spanish giants Real Madrid are also interested in a player who earned his first call-up to the Brazilian national side earlier this year.
Neres arrived at Ajax in a £13m deal from Sao Paulo in 2017, with the club set to earn a significant profit should they sanction the sale of the talented winger this summer.
Interest is high this summer in several of Ajax’s talented young team, with midfielder Frenkie De Jong having agreed a move to Barcelona.
Ajax have insisted the core of the squad will not be broken up this summer, though Neres may be allowed to leave if a club meets his asking price.
