Liverpool are reportedly in ‘advanced talks’ to sign Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser in the January transfer window.
The Premier League leaders are keen to add to their attacking depth in the winter window and have targeted a move for the Cherries’ winger, who is entering the final months of his contract at the Vitality Stadium.
The Scotland international starred for Eddie Howe’s side last season and was linked with a summer move to the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham, with only former Chelsea winger Eden Hazard having providing more than Fraser’s 14 league assists.
According to talkSPORT, Bournemouth are now prepared to cash in on the 25-year-old rather than risk losing him on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Liverpool have now reportedly moved to the front of the queue in the race to sign Fraser, as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his squad with attacking talent. The Reds have been left short of depth in wide areas so far this season, with Divock Origi their regular option to deputise for the front three of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
A deal for Fraser would bring in additional quality and options for their forward line as they continue their pursuit of the Premier League title, whilst the deal could also see on-loan Wales international Harry Wilson move to Bournemouth on a permanent basis.
The 22-year-old has scored four times since leaving Liverpool for the south coast on a season-long loan deal last summer, and he could be involved during the negotiations with the Cherries keen on securing the youngster on a permanent deal
