Two of the Premier League’s finest sides, Liverpool and Spurs, are set to go head to head in a mouthwatering Champions League final clash on June 1st in Madrid.
Both Liverpool and Spurs looked dead and buried during their semi-final encounters, but each side pulled off miraculous comebacks against Barcelona and Ajax respectively.
For those of you looking for some betting tips or a Bookies Bonus, we’ve put together a preview of this all English Champions League final.
Match Result – Draw 13/5
Coming off the back of a Premier League campaign that saw them lose just once, amassing a massive 97 points, Liverpool go into Madrid’s match-up as clear favourites. Jurgen Klopp’s side have beaten Spurs twice already this season, which means Mauricio Pochettino’s side are the 16/5 underdogs.
While it’s not hard to argue that Liverpool are the better team and are definitely in better form, Spurs do have the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Son Heung-min, and Lucas Moura, all of whom possess the ability to win a match with a moment of quality. Whether talisman Kane recovers from the ankle injury he suffered in the quarter-final against Man City to play, and how fit he will be even if he does, will also have a massive bearing on Spurs’ chances of causing an upset.
Both Liverpool and Spurs play exciting attacking football and everybody will be hoping for an open, entertaining encounter. However, finals quite often turn out to be tense, tetchy affairs and when you add in the fact that both these teams know each so well, we reckon it will be a draw after 90 minutes.
Score 1-1, 11/2
Both teams will feel they have their name on the trophy after their heroic semi-final comebacks, and we reckon there will be plenty more drama in Madrid and the game will go to extra time and penalties.
In the sides’ most recent meeting at Anfield, Liverpool won 2-1, with a last-minute howler from Spurs ‘keeper Hugo Lloris handing the win to the Reds. However, that a was extremely even game, with both side’s dominating during different periods, and we expect the final to play out on similar terms.
Mohamed Salah score anytime 5/6
This is, of course, Liverpool’s second Champions League final in a row and while all Jurgen Klopp’s side will want to win to erase the memory of last seasons defeat to Real Madrid, Egyptian King Mohamed Salah will be motivated to succeed more than most.
Salah went into last years final in Kiev in the form of his life after scoring the most goals ever in a 38 game Premier League season, but he was cruelly forced off injured in the first-half after being mauled to the ground by Real skipper Sergio Ramos.
The 26-year-old attacker’s form has dipped at times this campaign, but he’s finished the season in red hot form and it seems written in the stars that he will find the net in Madrid after the disappointment of 12 months ago.

Bonus Bet – Own Goal to be scored in game 10/1
So often big games are hugely influenced by errors or individual misfortune, and with both teams full of attacking talent we have a feeling that some poor defender is going to suffer the ignominy of finding the back of the net in what is the biggest football game of 2019.
