Liverpool are determined to beat Chelsea to the signing of Christian Pulisic, and will use new signing Fabinho as bait according to reports.
The Borussia Dortmund winger has been one of the more talked about players in the last few days, with reports suggesting that the 20-year-old could be on his way to Chelsea in January.
However, there is still interest from a number of other Premier League clubs, with both Liverpool and Manchester United having been credited with having an interest in his services in recent weeks.
The USA international has been stalling on a new deal, and with his current contract at the Westfalenstadion due to expire in 2020, the Bundesliga club are now though to be willing to cash in on him for around £70 million.
In order to try and beat Chelsea to his signature, the Sunday Mirror are reporting that Liverpool are prepared to use their £40m summer signing Fabinho as a sweetener in any potential deal.
Fabinho has had a less than impressive start to his Anfield career, and could make way for the 20-year-old American, who knows Jurgen Klopp from the German’s time in charge at Dortmund.
