Liverpool have joined the race to sign Bordeaux winger Malcom with Jurgen Klopp looking to strengthen his attacking options.
The 21-year-old Brazilian moved to Bordeaux back in 2016 from Corinthians for just £4m, but having bagged 10 goals in 30 appearances, has attracted interest from across Europe over the last few months after impressing in Ligue 1.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham were all linked with a move for the winger back in the January transfer window, as were German champions Bayern Munich, with the French club reportedly valuing him at around £40 million.
He didn’t get his desired move to the Premier League in January, but speaking back in February, he confirmed that he he has an agreement that he can leave this summer.
Now, according to the Daily Mail, Liverpool have joined list of clubs vying for his signature, with Jurgen Klopp looking to add more attacking options.
He may have one of the most feared front threes in European football with Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, but aside from that, Klopp doesn’t have too many top quality options as alternatives.
The report claims that Malcom is one of the names on the German’s shortlist, which also includes Bayer Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey and Christian Pulisic of Borussia Dortmund.
