Bordeaux winger Malcom has confirmed that he has an agreement with the French club that will see him leave in the summer.
The Brazilian was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in January, with Arsenal, Manchester United and Spurs all believed to be interested in the exciting youngster.
However, the Ligue 1 club were determined not to sell their prized asset in the middle of the season, and ultimately kept hold of him.
However, speaking to Brazilian outlet UOL, Malcom has confirmed that he has reached an agreement with Bordeaux that will see him be allowed to leave in the summer. He said:
“Yes, there was a promise that I will be negotiating in June.
“I will choose the team, and Bordeaux will let me go.
“I already said that I would have liked to leave this winter to meet new challenges.
“But I must also remember that Bordeaux helped me a lot.
“I gave my word to Bordeaux that I will continue [with the club] to be able to have more time to choose my future club.
“These next three or four months will make a big difference.”
