Lille have confirmed Nicolas Pepe will leave the French club this summer, amidst reported interest from the Premier League.

The 23-year-old winger has attracted the interest of several of Europe’s leading clubs following an outstanding season for Lille, with only Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe having scored more than Pepe’s 22 goals in French football’s top tier.

Manchester United and Arsenal have both been credited with an interest in the Ivory Coast international, who will be allowed to leave this summer according to the club’s manager Christophe Galtier.

“Nicolas Pepe will leave,” Galtier told CanalPlus.

“Life’s like that, football’s like that today.

“He is a player of the highest level who will have a big decision to make on the choice of his next club.

“There will be a battle between the great European teams.

“I hope that he will take good amount of time to think about it, do his research.

“Like he did when he came here and when he decided to stay here [last summer], find the right project.”
