Leeds United are close to agreeing a deal to sign Real Madrid goalkeeper Kiko Casilla this month, according to Sky Sports.
The Yorkshire club have been struggling in that position, ever since their on-loan Chelsea stopper, Jamal Blackman fractured his leg in November.
Casilla would be brought in to provide competition to the erratic Northern Ireland youngster Bailey Peacock-Farrell, whose form has been a bit of a concern for Marcelo Bielsa’s league leaders. With the pressure hotting up at the top of the Championship it looks as though they will opt to dip in the transfer market while they have the chance.
Kiko Casilla has been at Real Madrid since 2015, playing 43 times and winning one senior cap for his Spain. However, he is yet to feature for Los Blancos this season, finding himself third choice behind Keylor Navas and former Chelsea man Thibaut Courtois. B
ielsa would benefit from the former Espanol man’s experience as he looks to plot a return to the Premier League for the Elland Road club.
