Serie A club Lazio are close to agreeing a £12million deal to take Newcastle United flop Florian Thauvin to the Italian Capital.
The winger was signed for Newcastle back in January 2015, but failed to make an impact at St James’ Park, and was shipped out on loan to his former club Marseille 12-months later.
After failing to impress Rafael Benitez, the winger is set to be shipped out, with Lazio the closest to securing the 23-year olds signature.
It is believed that Thauvin will initially move to the Roman club on a season-long loan before the transfer is made permanent next summer.
